Why Choose the XLF 6V?
The XLF 6V is designed for falconers who want the greatest transmitter output available from the XLF platform.
Operating at 6 volts, it provides more transmitter output than the XLF 3V and 4.5V models, increasing rated tracking range while retaining the same rugged, fully sealed aluminum construction and replaceable antenna system.
The tradeoff for that additional output is shorter battery life. For falconers who place maximum signal strength and recovery range ahead of extended runtime, the XLF 6V is the strongest-performing option in the series.

Maximum XLF Output
The XLF 6V operates at the highest voltage in the XLF Series, giving it the greatest transmitter output of the three XLF configurations.
That additional output provides stronger signal performance and greater rated tracking range for falconers who want as much recovery capability as possible from the XLF platform.
Because higher transmitter output consumes more power, the XLF 6V has shorter battery life than the 3V and 4.5V models.
Rugged, Fully Sealed Aluminum Housing
The XLF Series uses a precision-machined aluminum housing designed to protect the transmitter electronics during demanding field use.
Once assembled, the transmitter forms a fully sealed unit that helps protect the electronics from moisture, dirt, weather, vibration, and impact.
This rugged construction is one of the defining features of the XLF platform and makes the transmitter well suited to demanding long-term field use.
Replaceable Antenna System
XLF transmitters use a replaceable screw-in antenna mounted to a standard screw stud. If an antenna becomes damaged or worn, it can be replaced without replacing the transmitter itself.
A traditional full-length antenna can be used for maximum practical performance, or the XLF can be configured with an optional loaded antenna approximately 6.5 inches long for a much more compact overall package.
The loaded antenna provides a convenient shorter option while retaining strong practical tracking performance.

Our loaded antennas are approximately half the length of a traditional full-length antenna while providing similar tracking performance. Internal tuning components allow the antenna to remain compact without requiring the full wire length normally needed for the operating frequency.

Replacement loaded antennas are available for Razor, LF-4, and XLF transmitters in several frequency ranges.

Battery Life & 6V Performance
The XLF 6V operates from four 392 (SR41W) silver oxide batteries and provides approximately 5 days, or 120 hours, of continuous operation.
Its higher operating voltage increases transmitter output compared with the 3V and 4.5V models. The tradeoff is increased battery consumption and shorter operating time.
Falconers who need longer runtime should consider the XLF 3V or 4.5V. Those who place maximum output and recovery range first should choose the XLF 6V.

One of the advantages of the XLF Series is the ability to configure the transmitter around your preferred field setup.
Mounting Option — Select the mounting configuration appropriate for your bird and application.
Magnetic Switching — Add magnetic on/off operation so the transmitter can be prepared ahead of time and activated immediately before use without removing the battery.
