The LF-2 2G Special combines long battery life and dependable tracking performance in an exceptionally small, lightweight package.
Weighing approximately 2.2 grams, the LF-2 Special is designed for smaller raptors where transmitter size and weight matter, while still providing approximately 14 days of continuous operation and a rated tracking range of up to 7 miles under favorable conditions.
Like the other LF Special transmitters, the LF-2 Special uses a permanently fixed antenna to minimize weight. Its electronics are hand-potted for durability and protection against the vibration and impact encountered in the field.
If ordered with the Tail-Mount option, the mount is permanently fixed to the transmitter and adds approximately 0.2 grams.
