Why Choose the LF-2 2G?
The LF-2 2G is designed for falconers who want a dependable all-around transmitter with excellent battery life in a compact package.
At approximately 4.6 grams, it remains small and lightweight while using two 392 silver oxide batteries to provide approximately 14 days of continuous operation. This makes it particularly well suited to users who value extended runtime and reliable everyday performance.
The LF-2 shares the same compact physical design as the LF-3, but operates at lower output to provide substantially longer battery life.

Long Battery Life
The LF-2 is built for falconers who want extended operating time without moving to a larger transmitter.
Two 392 silver oxide batteries provide approximately 14 days, or more than 330 hours, of continuous operation. That longer runtime makes the LF-2 a practical choice for regular field use and for falconers who prefer additional battery-life margin between changes.
Its compact housing keeps the transmitter lightweight while still providing the battery capacity needed for dependable extended use.
Compact, Proven 2G Design
The current LF-2 uses our Second Generation crystal-less electronics, designed to provide dependable radio tracking performance while standing up to the vibration and impact encountered in falconry use.
The compact LF-2 housing is also shared with the LF-3, allowing customers to choose between longer battery life or greater transmitter output without moving to a substantially different transmitter size.
LF-2 or LF-3?
Choose the LF-2 if: longer battery life is your priority. The LF-2 provides approximately 14 days of continuous operation with rated tracking range up to 7 miles under favorable conditions.
Choose the LF-3 if: greater transmitter output and maximum tracking range are more important. The LF-3 uses the same compact housing but trades battery life for higher output.
Mounting Options
The LF-2 2G can be ordered in several mounting configurations:
Transmitter Only — For customers who already have their preferred mounting hardware.
Leather Bewit — A traditional leg-mount option for falconry use.
Tail-Mount Wire Clip — For use with compatible tail-mount systems.
If you are unsure which mounting option is best for your bird or application, contact us before ordering.
