The LF-1 2G Special is our smallest and lightest transmitter, designed for falconers who need the least possible size and weight for very small birds.
Weighing approximately 1.7 grams with battery, the LF-1 Special is an excellent choice for Kestrels, Merlins, and other similarly sized hawks where minimal weight is critical.
To reduce weight as much as possible, the LF-1 Special uses a permanently fixed antenna. If ordered with the Tail-Mount option, the tail mount is also fixed to the transmitter and adds only about 0.2 grams.
The transmitter is powered by one 361 (SR721W) high-drain silver oxide battery and provides approximately 10 days / 240 hours of continuous operation.
