Why Choose the LF-3 2G?
The LF-3 2G is designed for falconers who want greater transmitter output while retaining the compact size and lightweight construction of the LF-2.
At approximately 4.6 grams, the LF-3 uses the same physical package as the LF-2 but is configured for higher output. This provides greater rated tracking range while still keeping the transmitter compact enough for practical everyday use.
The tradeoff for that increased output is shorter battery life. The LF-3 provides approximately 7 days of continuous operation compared with approximately 14 days from the LF-2.

Higher Output in a Compact Package
The LF-3 is built around the same compact transmitter body as the LF-2, but its electronics operate at higher output to provide stronger signal performance and greater rated tracking range.
This gives falconers a higher-output option without moving to a substantially larger transmitter package.
For users who place recovery range and signal strength ahead of maximum battery duration, the LF-3 offers a strong balance of compact size and increased output.
LF-2 or LF-3?
Choose the LF-2 if: longer battery life is your priority. The LF-2 provides approximately 14 days of continuous operation with rated tracking range up to 7 miles under favorable conditions.
Choose the LF-3 if: greater transmitter output and maximum tracking range are more important. The LF-3 uses the same compact housing but trades battery life for higher output.
Mounting Options
The LF-3 2G can be ordered in several mounting configurations:
Transmitter Only — For customers who already have their preferred mounting hardware.
Leather Bewit — A traditional leg-mount option for falconry use.
Tail-Mount Wire Clip — For use with compatible tail-mount systems.

Choosing Your Frequency
L.L. Electronics transmitters are available on a variety of radio-tracking frequencies.

Battery Holders are used to secure the battery in place during use. These holders are for the LF-1 transmitter that uses one 392 Battery.

Standard replacement antennas at 13 inches long correspond with the LF-2G Series Transmitters as well as the XLF-Series Transmitters.
