Find a lost dog and keep them safe

Our equipment is geared towards helping you find a lost dog. Some other units only give you a total tracking time of 5 days continuous operation on a Fresh battery, the SC1000 will give you over 8 weeks! The LED's will continue to flash for the entire 8 weeks, helping to keep your dog visible (and safe) at night. In transmit only mode the SC1000 will last almost 16 weeks on a single battery giving you plenty of time to find a dog that has gone missing.

More Output Power

The Smart Collar 1000, aka the SC1000 has more output power and range than other similarly classed collars. In flat to hilly moderately forested areas you can expect 5-20 miles of range. With good line of sight from a high vantage point ranges are drastically increased to as much as 100 miles or more tracking from an airplane.

Superior Battery Life

The Smart Collar 1000, aka the SC1000, is an all new collar equipped with our own Smart Collar Technology. Inside is a very powerful microchip that acts as the brains of this tracking collar. The ability to detect when the battery is low and then notifying the tracker via the receiver is a key feature. The microchip also plays a large role in keeping current drains down and extending battery life tremendously.

SC1000 lasts over18 times longer on one 1/2AA Lithium battery than the competition does on 2 AA Alkaline batteries. That's more than 36 AA batteries (retail cost of at least $40-$50) versus 1 1/2 AA battery ($5 from LL Electronics) to track for the same amount of time. Not only is it easier on your wallet but also that much better for the environment in waste savings. This is due to the highly efficient high output electronics we use in all of our equipment coupled with the high energy lithium batteries.

Light yet Rugged Design

Made from special polymers these modules are extremely durable and sealed from the elements. Inside the units are special reinforcing compounds that stand up to extreme temperatures and pressures and absorb shock in order to protect the powerful electronics within. Weighing in at 5.9 Oz (with collar and hardware included) these units are light and low profile helping to keep them out of harms way.

Two LED's with Superior Coverage

The Smart Collar is also equipped with 2 Higher Intensity LED's The LED's are strategically placed on the collar, allowing us to cover a wider viewable range with less LED's, effectively lengthening battery life. The LED's can be switched off for daytime hunts by simply touching the designated spot on the collar with a magnet.

User Replaceable Antenna

On the front end of the collar you will find a threaded machined metal tube, a hex tube with a set screw is fastened into this tube. This is where you can replace your own antenna. Any 1/4 inch diameter metal cable of the appropriate length (e.g. 13 inches for 216 MHz) can be secured into the hex tube with the set screw to act as your antenna. No soldering or crimping required antenna replacement makes for the most easily user repaired tracking unit yet!

User Replaceable Battery

The SC1000 also features user replaceable battery. Running on one 1/2 AA lithium battery which can be easily replaced through a screw-off lid on the back end of the unit, the SC1000 will be the easiest and fastest battery change you have ever made. Lithium batteries are still the lightest and most powerful battery solution available for tracking systems, as they pack more power cubic inch than any regular alkaline battery.

Low Battery Indication

When the battery does reach a low state the collars pulse rate slows by a fraction of a second and activates a double pulse every fourth pulse. When in this low battery mode the LED's aso automatically deactivate from regular use (if they were in operating mode) and only blink once per double pulse. This low battery mode ensures that the unit's battery life is not shortened any further, but still indicates to the user that it is time to replace the battery soon. The SC1000 will continue to operate for around another week after low battery mode is entered.
